Ramsey Cascades

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Ramsey Cascades is the tallest waterfall in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This 100' cascade drops along Ramsey Prong, which forms on the slopes of Greenbrier Pinnacle and Mount Guyot (6,621'). While the falls are exceptional, the hike itself is equally compelling. The Ramsey Cascades Trail passes through Cove Hardwood Forests in the Greenbrier section of the Park, one of the largest swaths of old growth trees in the Smokies.
