I read somewhere online that the snowfield that is usually year round on the way to Chasm Lake is completely melted as of July 18, 2018.  Can anyone confirm this? I do not want to take my 3 kids, ages 14,12 and 10 if that snowfield is still there. I did Chasm Lake with a few buddies a few years back and used microspikes and hiking polls as the snowfield was still there and made me quite nervous seeing as a slide down ended up into rocks at the bottom. Thanks

I haven't been up there this year, so I don't know.

But don't hold your breath for an answer here. Yours is the first post in several months (I check here only every couple of weeks), and I doubt you'll be hearing anything anytime soon. HPH
