I took a big road trip from Denver to California to drive my car at a few notable race tracks. Along the way I passed through a number of our national parks. Some parks I just drove through, some I spent some quality time.

The original idea was to spend two nights camping in Inyo National Forest so I could have a full day to hike. (All camping spots in Yosemite had been reserved many months before.) Things didn't work out that way and I ended up just driving through the park. So this probably isn't worthy of being posted here at all...

Laguna Seca Trip: Day 11 - Monterey to Henderson, NV

All the trailhead parking lots were full, all roadside parking was full, massive crowds everywhere. I'd still very much like to spend some quality time here. Maybe next time I'll make the trip in September, when school is in session.

Lotus Elise, 2006.

I've found most of my hiker friends aren't into cars and most of my car friends aren't into hiking. But if you're into cars, I think you'll enjoy the rest of the trip. I have short videos for the Thunderhill and Laguna Seca track days but my upgrade to Windows 10 has delayed the Sonoma one...

Looks a great road trip. I am hoping to do some trips like that when I retire.
